F.A.Q
F.A.Q
Frequently asked questions are listed questions and answers.
General Questions
Q: Who can join IHHC?
A: Application for participating and voting Membership is open to any* homeschooling family in Henry County and surrounding areas that supports the purpose and mission statements found in Article I, Sections 2 and 3 of the By-Laws.
Most activities are intended for children elementary age and older. While younger siblings are welcome to participate there are not many events made exclusively for pre-schoolers. Our primary member base is made of ages 5-12, so most events are made with them in mind.
*Exceptions: While IHHC strives to be an inclusive group, there are rare situations that would require the Board to decline a family’s application. Due to potential safety concerns, it is our policy to deny, restrict, or revoke a family's membership in IHHC if we find out that an immediate family member is listed on the Sex Offender Registry.
See FAQ - How to Join IHHC for more information on joining.

A: Yes! We'd love to meet you! Meet other IHHC Members for playtime at an IHHC Public Park Playdate once a month. It's a great way to get to know other members and their kids. It's also ideal for burning off some of that extra energy before returning to other homeschool activities. Our Park Day is on the calendar on the events page and is open to homeschooling visitors who would like to join or learn more about IHHC. Please see the calendar for more information.
Q. What ages are represented within IHHC?
A. Most of our students are Elementary age, however there is a growing number of middle and high school students.
Q: What activities are available?
A: Activities include field trips, special interest clubs, park days, cultural events, and other opportunities for learning and playing together. A favorite activity is our Lunch and Learns where we learn about a topic while enjoying food related to it. We also boast a Mom’s Night Out and offer occasional evening and weekend activities to involve all family members in the homeschool experience. Members are encouraged to suggest and plan activities.
