  • American Museum of Papermaking  internationally renowned resource on the history of paper and paper technology.   • Cobb County Youth Museum The museum uses role-playing to involve children in the learning experience.  Two guided tours of the museum are conducted each school day for elementary, middle school, and junior high classes. During the two guided tours, docents dressed in period costumes lead the tours, involving the children in self-expression through role-playing and lively discussion. Children move through numerous settings and exhibit areas in the museum, participating in an unfolding narrative of selected historic and cultural interest.   • Indian Springs State Park 
    Located in Flovilla, Georgia, Indian Springs is considered one of the oldest state parks in the United States. The Creek Indians used the springs for centuries to heal the sick and impart extra vigor to the well. During the 1800s, the area was a bustling resort town.   • Jarrell Plantation

  • Kennesaw Civil War Museum 
    Housed in a former cotton gin in the town of Kennesaw, the museum exhibits a collection of wartime artifacts and memorabilia.  The most famous relic at the museum is the Civil War locomotive called "The General," which was stolen by Union troops and involved in what became known as "The Great Locomotive Chase."    (770)427-2117

  • Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

  • Morris Museum of Art

    The first museum in the country dedicated to celebrating and exploring the art and artists of the South, the Morris Museum of Art has a permanent collection of some 2,500 paintings and works on paper. Nearly 1,900 of these works make up the Southern Collection, a broad-based survey collection, encompassing a history of painting in the South and ranging from delicate watercolors by eighteenth century nature artists, to vibrant works by some of today's best-known Southern artists.
